The mission of the Boerne Area Democrats is to inspire, inform, and involve like-minded individuals in an inclusive community to grow in political awareness and activism while promoting democratic ideals.

To achieve our mission, the Boerne Area Democrats:

  • Promote increased representation of Democrats in Party and government institutions

  • Promote the increased political activity and influence of Democrats in Texas politics and government

  • Provide support for democrats working in Democratic Party organizations and campaigns, and for those seeking Party or public office

  • Promote legislative, executive and judicial policy which enhances equitable representation of all persons in Democratic Party and governmental affairs.

We are growing quickly and want everyone to know that Democrats are alive, well, and on the move in Boerne and other towns in the surrounding counties in the Texas Hill Country.  Wherever you live, you are welcome to join us!

Per the rules of the Texas Democratic Party, “any qualified Democratic voter who will be 18 years of age or older on the date in November of the General Election and who resides in the county and who has voted in the Democratic Primary…or who signs an oath of affiliation to the Democratic Party and has not voted in another party’s primary…shall be eligible to attend” and vote at the County Convention. Note that this means if you cast a “protest vote” in the Republican Primary, you may *not* attend or vote at the County Democratic Convention.

At this event, we discuss Party business, adopt Party resolutions, and select 11 delegates to send to the Texas Democratic Convention (see next item). For more information, email the KCDP Chair at
